Why Nawaz
Sharif has become a target?
According to one Pakistani
journalist: Propaganda aside, real reasons are as follows:
1.
There is a strong and vicious tussle between Nawaz
Sharif and the army establishment over the control of various policies.
2.
Main source of income for the Army establishment and
religious groups/ militants have been wars in Afghanistan and in Kashmir.
3.
Nawaz Sharif wants peace in Kashmir and friendship
with India; that is not acceptable to the army establishment, religious groups
and militant groups.
4.
Similarly, Nawaz Sharif wants peace in Afghanistan
and is not interested in a policy of strategic depth; and a compliant
government in Kabul. Peace is not in the interests of those who have earned
billions of dollars since 1979. Just like in Kashmir, they want instability, chaos
and bloodshed in Afghanistan.
5.
Nawaz Sharif’s endeavours to challenge might of the
powerful army over control of power; and a treason case against General
Musharaf was also not acceptable.
6.
Finally, Nawaz Sharif’s refusal to allow the army
Generals to take over management and control of China Pakistan Economic
Corridor was not acceptable. So, it was decided to get rid off Nawaz Sharif by
defaming him and his entire family while all other corrupts are allowed to
enjoy their corruption.
