Imran Khan government thrives on lies and cheap propaganda, a post by Islamabad Pakistani journalist:
Pakistani (controlled) media proudly told us that Khan the conqueror gave an interview to an "American TV" in which he looked into the eyes of USA and said, absolutely no bases will be given.
Did you notice the media used a generic term "American TV" but which American TV channel? CNN, Fox news, CNBC or NBC? No, Khan sb didn't give any interview to any American channel. This government is surviving on cheap propaganda stunts and this was just another 3rd class cheap stunt.
Khan sb gave a "paid" scripted interview to Axios. Now who or what is Axios? Its a commercial website and any body can buy a space on this website to share a content, either written or video. The content is solely produced by the company or the person who buys the space. So this interview was a paid content, which means questions and answers were scripted.
Now why khan's government has staged this stunt? Remember this stunt is for domestic consumption only to fool the mentally challenged Youthias that their leader is the bravest conqueror and has denied bases to USA in an interview with a US TV channel.
The question is, Khan could have said the same thing on a domestic channel too but no, sitting across a western guy gives better visual effects. Interestingly Jonathan Swan, the interviewer isn't an American, he is an Australian.
Now what will happen? This stunt interview has no international value, the whole world knows it's a paid content and is for domestic consumption only. Khan has convinced his foolish audience that he is a brave man and can never do anything against national interest but when he takes a U turn, his followers would still believe that the brave man must have done something right for the country. So don't fall prey to such stunts, it's not the first time. This government and their bosses played such tricks several times in the recent months. A few months ago, DG ISPR gave an interview to Global Village Space. What? A shady website handled by ISPR itself.
